A Vision

I was tasked with creating a typographic poster, which interpreted a poem of my choosing, as a means of advertising a poetry reading event. I choose to use the poem ‘A Vision’ by Oscar Wilde. I focused on one line of the poem, this being “Two crowned kings, one that stood alone”. I felt that this line did a good job of representing the whole meaning of the poem. I choose to keep the poem quite simple, with the focus on the image as I felt that the poem itself focused on just the one meaning.

Very elegant and simplistic, like it a lot. You’ve inspired me to go and check out this poem, as I haven’t heard of it before, thanks!

    1. I’m glad you like it. You definitely should check out the poem. It’s quite short, but i think it may be one of my favourites of his.
